Designed by manufacturers Pfaffle Leucheten-Schwenningen in Germany in the 1950s, this architectural geometric desk light is a beautiful example of minimalist mid-century design.  A chromed cantilevered arm sits on a weighted metal base, and is adjustable backwards and forwards.  The rectangular metal head adjusts up and down and a simple white switch sits in contrast to the vibrant powder-coated cardinal red.  We have stripped down, cleaned and restored this beautiful 20th century table lamp, and it is fully working.  Condition overall is very good for its age, but there are one or two spots of paint loss on the base and some light pitting on the chromed arm, see pictures.  We have rewired it with vintage style twisted fabric cable in black with a black UK 3-pin plug.  The bulbholder takes an E14 (small screw-in) bulb.  The maximum height is approx 35cm and the width 23cm.  The base is 16cm x 8cm and the weight is 1.9kg.
