Vintage French opaline milk glass wavy coolie shade clear fused trim + fittings

A very lovely vintage French opaline or milk glass coolie ceiling light shade, in white with a clear fused trim.  We have added a new antiqued brass gallery and bulbholder.  Electric flex is available separately in our ebay store, along with a selection of period style ceramic ceiling roses which would complete this pendant light perfectly.

We search antiques fairs and shops in France to source these and similar shades.  It's hard to date them exactly, but we think they were probably produced between the 1930s to 1950s.  We think they would look absolutely beautiful in just about any room, and also in a shop or café.  

In very, with no chips or cracks but please note that minor imperfections are inevitable with items of this age and which have been manufactured in small batches with a lot of hand finishing.  For example, the shades often have nibbles around the top edge of the neck where the gallery sits.  This one also has some yellow spots of staining around the neck (just visible in the photos), but these are covered by the gallery.

Measures approx. 25cm diameter x 5cm max height.  Bulbholder is bayonet fitting.  Electric flex and bulb are not included - this listing is for the shade, the brass gallery and the bulbholder.
