Vintage French opaline glass frilly coolie ceiling light shade white + fittings

A fabulous original French glass coolie pendant light shade in folded and pleated white opaline milk glass with a fused clear glass trim.  We call this style the frilly, and it's a classic French shape which goes right back to the early 1900s.   This example probably dates from somewhere between the 1930s and 1950s.  We have completed it with an antiqued brass gallery and new brass bulb holder.  The electric cable is not included, but is available separately in our ebay store, along with a selection of ceramic ceiling roses which would complement this shade beautifully. 

We search antiques fairs and shops in France to source these and similar shades.  We think they would look absolutely beautiful in just about any room, and also in a shop or café.  

In great condition, with no chips or cracks but please note that minor imperfections are inevitable with items of this age and which have been manufactured largely by hand in small batches.  Nearly all these old shades have nibbles and small chips around the top of the neck, all of which are covered when the gallery is in place.

Measures approx. 27cm diameter x 8.5cm max height.  Bulbholder is bayonet fitting.  Electric flex and bulb are not included - this listing is for the shade, the brass gallery and the bulbholder.
