A very beautiful original French frosted glass frilly coolie ceiling light shade. This is a lovely old heavy shade, which would have been handmade, probably in the 1920s or 30s. We have completed it with an antiqued brass gallery and new brass bulbholder. The electric cable is not included, but we have several colours of twisted fabric flex available in our ebay store, along with vintage style porcelain ceiling roses which would complement this shade beautifully.
We think they would look absolutely beautiful in just about any room, and also in a shop or café.
In very good condition, but please note that minor imperfections such as little blobs of extra glass, black specks from the firing and nibbles around the neck are inevitable with items of this age which have been made by hand in small batches.
Measures approx. 28cm diameter x 8cm max height. Bulbholder is bayonet fitting. Electric flex and bulb are not included - this listing is for the shade, the brass gallery and the bulbholder.
