A very lovely original French frosted glass frilly coolie ceiling light shade with a deep blue edging. Probably made in the 1950s, we have completed with an antiqued brass gallery and new brass bulbholder. The flex is not included.
We search antiques fairs and shops in France to source these and similar shades. We think they would look absolutely beautiful in just about any room, and also in a shop or café.
In good condition, with just one very tiny chip on the inside of one of the frills (see picture of the underside of the shade). The vast majority of these shades also have nibbles around the top of the neck where the gallery is fixed, but these cannot be seen when it's in place.
Measures approx. 27cm diameter x 8cm max height. Bulbholder is bayonet fitting. Electric flex and bulb are not included - this listing is for the shade, the brass gallery and the bulbholder.
