An old French rise & fall lighting pulley for ceiling lights and chandeliers, measuring 16cm high and 8cm wide. Made of cast iron, it is embossed with the maker's initials A R and No. 3, which is one of the larger models. Sourced in France, and probably dating from the 1900s. This example is missing its bottom hook, easily sourced elsewhere.
