A heavy fil de lin linen sheet from France with embroidered initials J M. In a deep creamy colour, this would have been a dowry sheet and probably dates from the early 20th century. In good clean condition overall, with just a couple of areas of missing thread in the corners of the ladderwork (see pictures). There are also some very light spot of staining from storage, see final picture. A small laundry tag is sewn in to the bottom hem. The picture shows it on top of a UK kingsize bed. Measures approx 296cm (9' 7") long x 206cm (6') wide. Weighs 1.8kg (just under 4lb).
