A very lovely antique wooden chopping board, sourced in south-west France and probably dating from the late 19th or early 20th century. These wonderful old rustic cutting boards were handmade for the farmhouse kitchen, and this one is especially robust being of beechwood and 4cm thick. Beautifully worn and showing all the signs of daily use that you'd want and expect from a rustic piece of kitchenalia of this age. We have cleaned and treated the board with vinegar, and then oiled it with walnut oil. The handle has a hole to which you can attach a hanging loop. Measures 36cm total length, 20cm wide and 4cm thick. Weighs 1.37kg.
