A beautiful old glass pharmacy jar from France, with a gold label for Pulvis Gentianae, a powder from the gentian plant used for ailments of the digestive system. With a green painted metal lid trimmed in gold, the jar itself has the pontil mark at the bottom to indicate it was hand blown. The jar measures approx 23cm high and 9cm diameter.
