Vintage French opaline glass pleated coolie light shade maroon trim + fittings

A gorgeous original French opaline pleated glass ceiling light shade in white with a fused clear mauve glass trim.  Unusually, the pleats swirly around the centre.  Hard to date exactly, but this handmade shade has some weight and is probably from the 1930s.  We have completed it with an antiqued brass gallery and new brass bulb holder.  Electric cable is not included, but is available separately in our ebay store, along with period style ceramic ceiling roses.

We search antiques fairs and shops in France to source these and similar shades.  We think they would look absolutely beautiful in just about any room, and also in a shop or café.  

In excellent condition, with no chips or cracks but please note that minor imperfections are inevitable with items of this age and which have been manufactured in small batches with a lot of hand finishing.  For example, the shades often have nibbles around the top edge of the neck where the gallery sits.

Measures approx. 25.5cm diameter x 5cm max height.  Bulbholder is bayonet fitting.  Electric flex and bulb are not included - this listing is for the shade, the brass gallery and the bulbholder.
